DESCRIPTION
This video looks at the basic principles of Chemistry involved in Biology. It explains atoms, molecules, elements and compounds and then looks at the criteria for a compound to be classed as organic. The four major organic compounds in Biology are Carbohydrates, Lipids, Proteins and Nucleic Acids. We call these macromolecules because they are large molecules made up of smaller subunits.
