This film reviews the decades of campaigning for indigenous rights which culminated in the 1967 Constitutional Referendum on 27 May 1967. This referendum asked people to approve an amendment to the Australian Constitution which would allow the Commonwealth to make laws for the Aboriginal people, and to include the Aboriginal people in the census. It was hoped that these changes would allow progressive parliaments to overturn years of neglect and discrimination against indigenous people. This film asks what has been achieved in the years since the 1967 referendum.
