Structure of the Atom The Rutherford Model of an Atom

Ernest Rutherford conducted an experiment which is known as the “Rutherford alpha scattering experiment”, in which he allowed alpha particles from a radioactive source to fall on a thin gold foil. Based on his observations of this experiment, he gave a nuclear model of an atom.
