Federation occurred on January 1st, 1901 when six separate British colonies—New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia—joined together to form the new nation of Australia. In this video we take a brief look at the major figures involved in the Federation movement and the development of Australia's Constitution.
