Students, along with Isaac and his cat Newton, will learn that friction is a contact force that can occur between two solids, a solid and liquid – also known as water resistance, and a solid and a gas – known as air resistance. They will also discover that friction can create heat and cause wear and tear in moving parts, but without it, life would be up in the air!
