This program follows the creation and rise of the Nazi party in Germany after the First World War and considers the reasons behind it. It also looks at the problems of mass unemployment, the humiliation of the Versailles treaty, public disorder and the Depression as contributing factors. Also, examined is the role played by the judiciary and big business in aiding or supporting Hitler to his position of power, from both fear of Communism and the belief that he could be manipulated by them.
