The Cost of Betrayal examines cases of Espionage in the Cold War era of the 1950's. This episode examines the last day of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg's life in Sing Sing Prison as they face the electric chair for passing atomic secrets to the Soviets. The Rosenbergs were the first American civilians to be executed for conspiracy to commit espionage and the first to suffer that penalty during peacetime.
