Based on Doris Pilkington's book "Follow the rabbit-proof fence". Three young aboriginal girls - Molly (Everlyn Sampi), Daisy (Tianna Sansbury) and Gracie (Laura Monaghan) - are snatched from their mothers arms in Jigalong, Western Australia and sent to a remote settlement at Moore River, 1500 miles from home. The girls attempt the impossible and embark on a daring escape, following the rabbit-proof fence across an unforgiving landscape.
